One-stop-shop for falls prevention and management information for the public, health professionals, General Practitioners and carers.
With initial funding support from SA Health, the FallsSA website was launched in November 2007 in response to a need for a one-stop-shop for falls prevention and management information for the public, health professionals, General Practitioners and carers.
The site is maintained by Active Ageing Australia. The format and content of the website is regularly updated to ensure current, accessible information.
Some of the information available on the website includes
- Consumer fact sheets on various topics (e.g. vision, exercise and balance, medications, health conditions, footcare and footwear)
- Information on falls prevention services and programs and how to link with them
- Fall prevention guidelines and plans
- Professional development opportunities
