Welcome to the Supporting Older People to Exercise at Home Learning Course

Here, you will learn to effectively support older people to exercise safely in their own homes using the Moving for Life Your Way Book.

 Through this online course, you will learn to:

  • Understand what influences wellness and healthy ageing

  • Understand the benefits of physical activity

  • Support older people to exercise safely in their home

  • Support older people with goal setting and staying on track

This course consists of 13 lessons which have multiple topics and takes approximately three to three and a half hours to complete. You will be asked to watch videos, read information, and answer some quiz questions based on the material and exercise demonstration.

An electronic copy of the Moving for Life Your Way book for use as reference material is available to download in the materials tab on the ‘Introduction’ lesson content page.

You will have the option to log out and come back to complete the course any time you like. Once you have finished all lessons, you will get a certificate of completion which can be downloaded from this page.
