Chair Yoga is a wonderful, modified form of traditional yoga. All exercises are performed in a chair which is ideal for anyone with joint, flexibility or mobility issues, or those who may not be able to comfortably exercise on the floor. Chair yoga is designed to improve posture, mobility and flexibility, while reducing stress levels and enhancing wellbeing. All levels of flexibility and strength will benefit from this practice.

Each exercise is explained and demonstrated by Kay MacKenzie, a qualified Chair Yoga instructor (LVCY).

Suggested equipment

  • Kitchen/dining chair or similar (without arms)
  • Chair pad (optional for comfort)
  • Drink of water
